FEBRUARY FUNDRAISER 2020
For the month of February 2020 we will be holding weekly charity events in order to raise money for various charities in Somalia/surrounding areas, in collaboration with SYFI (Somali Youth For Integrity) and Project E.D.E.N. The money raised will be going towards funding for education, development, environmental purposes and promoting non-violence (hence E.D.E.N). We have lots of exciting events planned so if you would like to be involved in raising money for charity, send us an email or DM us on any of the social media pages! If not, we hope you can support us by attending the events and spreading the word- our events are open to all!

FEBRUARY FUNDRAISER 2020- UPDATE
Firstly, thank you very much to all who attended our events, donated or even shared the donation link. It is with your efforts that we managed to raise a grand total of 1,822.86! This is a massive acheivement and we are all very grateful for your support! 2020/2021 PLANS
Hi everyone!
Firstly, a big welcome to all the new members who have joined us this year! It is fantastic to see our society grow and continue to grow, thank you so much for joining!
The Somali Society at Hallam had an amazing first year. It joined University of Sheffield's Somali Society and co-hosted many events together, such as a Games Night, Debate Night, roller-skating trips and a charity Bake Sale (details and pictures available on our Instagram linked to the right). Other charity this year would be our charity month in collaboration with Somali Societies all over the UK, resulting in us raising over £1000 which went towards supporting education, development, environmental issues and promoting non-violence in Somalia and surrounding areas. This charity month took place in February of this year and was a fun and rewarding experience for all.
Following our successful year we had hoped to continue this momentum and host more events this year, however, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the current lockdown in the UK unfortunately we will be unable to host any physical events this year. We will try to organise some online events this year instead so please follow our social media (linked to the right) to stay updated with any events we plan.
