About us

🌍 Welcome to the Sustainability Society at SHU!

Want to make a positive difference for our planet? 🌱💚

Our society is all about tackling climate change, promoting climate justice, protecting nature and making sustainable living accessible to everyone. We believe even the smallest changes can help create a greener, fairer future!

🌿 What do we do?

Throughout the year, we'll be hosting a variety of events, including:

  • 🌱 Nature Recovery Days – helping local wildlife and green spaces.

  • 🎤 Guest Speakers & Climate Education – learning about environmental issues and solutions.

  • ♻️ Sustainable Workshops & Evenings – getting creative and exploring eco-friendly living.

  • 🤝 Socials – meeting like-minded people and having fun!

Everyone is welcome, whether you're passionate about sustainability or just starting your journey. No experience is needed!

Membership is just £5, helping us cover society costs and fund exciting, hands-on workshops and activities.
