About us

How will I find out about upcoming events?

We will update our activities on this page as soon as anything is planned, and we will let you know through all of our social media channels and big group chats.

I am not a Physics student, can I join?

If you are interested in physics, maths or socialising with people who are, then this is the place for you. It doesn’t matter if you are a physics student; we will gladly have you!

What can I expect from PhySoc?

We aim to host various activities such as socials, quizzes, talks, astronomical events in the peaks, and various public outreach events. Not only will you have all of that to look forward to, but we also have big plans to organise at least one big “off-campus” activity! In previous years, we have been to CERN and the ESA in Rome.  As well as touring ISIS Neutron and Muon Source in Oxford, and who knows, maybe this year we'll go further abroad! The choice is up to you! The committee is here to help enhance the student experience, so if you have something interesting to say, we will do our best to make it happen!
