All of our shows are proposed and run by our own members, and some have even been written by members!
You don’t have to have experience in theatre, and if you don’t want to perform there are opportunities to be involved in a wide variety of activities! These include backstage roles (such as sound and lighting technicians, set building, costume, makeup, stage management and stage handing), marketing, directing, producing and filming!
The society also takes part in charity fundraisers and runs a large number of entertaining and exciting activities for members to engage in alongside their studies. We have regular drinking and non-drinking socials for our members to enjoy, and are often asked by outside organisations to provide actors for a variety of different events.
HSU Theatre has something for everyone- we welcome members from a huge range of courses, ages and backgrounds.
