Welcome to the Sheffield Hallam East Asia Society!

Our committee members are made up of a diverse range of cultures and our aim is to set up a community where students can feel welcome and comfortable.

We want students to be able to explore East Asian culture, to broaden their perspectives, allowing them to experience East Asian traditions. We also provide East Asian students, a platform to socialise and further develop their communications skills with people from the UK. Don’t be shy, anyone can join!

WANT TO JOIN THE COMMITTEE?

We are looking for dedicated individuals who want to represent our society. It will allow you to engage in decision-making and improve the society alongside other benefits, such as a free membership and free entry to events and club nights. Being part of the committee will advance your collaborative and organisational skills (which will look great on your CV). Email or message us on Instagram about your interest and give a brief personal statement on why you would like to be part of the committee. Current roles on offer are Secretary, Equality and Diversity Officer, Social Secretary, and Social Media Manager. We are open to other role suggestions.

Our membership is £5. By joining, you can collect exclusive discounts from our society for restaurants and events. Existing members of EAS are £2.
