Welcome to Artistic Allies Society
Whether your arty, in need of decorating your uni room with crafty decor or just want some escapism from academia. This is a society for you!
We lead arts & craft sessions every week in a relaxed and sociable space. We plan to do pottery, glass painting, hama bead coasters and photography to name a few, plus themed sessions around Halloween, Christmas, Valentines and Easter! Participating in planned activities is completely optional. Feel free to bring or suggest any creative endeavors you enjoy.
This society is for everyone Hallam students, uni of students, non-students, partners and friends.
Weekly sessions:
These are our relaxed meet ups at two different locations a week for accessibility. In these sessions we have a new arts and craft activity each week (same activity on Wednesdays and Fridays). Making this a society you can have a creative outlet and a comfortable space to make friends.
The first session of the new academic year will be Wednesday 25th of September followed by Friday 27th.
Weekly meet up sessions:
♦ Day: Wednesday
♦ Time: 6-8pm
♦ Location: Collegiate Campus, Heart of the Campus, floor 1, room 1 & 11
(two cosy rooms next to each other with tables & chairs plus a comfy sofa and seating space outside the room)

Socials:
Alongside our weekly sessions we will form friendships and strengthen our teamwork by participating in socials!
Socials may include, going to an animal sanctuary, roller blading, cafe trips, paintball, walks, cinema viewings and much more! Suggestions encouraged.
These may occassionally be on Fridays after the regular session (6-8 at City campus) and weekends.
In 2023 we collectively created an Autumn (maga)zine which we sold around Sheffield followed by a digital zine for Christmas. If this is something you are interested in, let us know and we can run a zine making workshop.

Come explore the Winter Gardens and beyond with us! As we draw, socialise, and make bracelets.
In this Society Taster we will be drawing in the Winter Gardens (we will provide supplies such as pencils, pens, watercolour, and paper.) This will be a lovely way to explore Sheffield, get to know the committee, and chat to people who are also interested in the society.
After this we will all have a short (and accessible) walk to the Charles Street building to sit down in a relaxed and comfortable space to make bracelets.
The committee members will be stood near the Hallam Help desk ready to greet you so look out for us! If you have accessibility needs you would like us to be aware of, please email us at artisticallies@outlook.com
We hope to see you there! :)
