Project PERC (Peaks Environmental Restoration and Conservation) is a new society dedicated to supporting & protecting incredible the nature and wildlife in the Peak District.

Whether you’re passionate about the environment, interested in gaining practical experience, or simply want to spend more time outdoors, Project PERC is a place to learn, get involved, and make a difference.

What we do:

Volunteering - Get involved in conservation work across the Peak District & Sheffield (organised by both us and external organisations)
Research - Take part in our research exploring a range of important environmental topics.
Socials - Get to know other members through a range of activities, from hikes in the Peak District to pub trips and more!

Project PERC is also a great opportunity to develop skills that can support your academic life at university and beyond. Through fieldwork, data collection, research and report writing, you’ll gain practical experience while working on real-world environmental issues.

You don’t need to be an expert or study an environmental subject — if you’re interested in the natural world, want to learn something new, and would like to help protect the Peak District, Project PERC is for you. Join us now!
