Welcome everyone to the Kerala society page. The Kerala Society at Sheffield Hallam University is formed to celebrate the culture and traditions of Kerala (state in India, popularly known as 'Gods own country') and to bring together the students from Kerala in Sheffield under a common ground. The society currently has a massive participation from both international and home students and is expected to grow with time to form a vibrant community.
The society also has members from University of Sheffield and we have tonnes of events planned for the immediate future.
Aims:
1. To provide support to International students on issues regarding accomodation, fees, and placements.
2. Conduct various events within and outside the university to celebrate the culture of Kerala.
3. To collaborate with other societies and to conduct events together to know people from other cultures and to do cultural exchange.
Objectives:
1. Making sure everyone is welcome in the society irrespective of their culture, race, nationality, religion and other protected characteristics.
2. Forming a vibrant community of students from a diverse culture to support each other in need, and to create a home away from home for all students.
170 posts are up for election.
Nominations are now closed.
The polls open at 10:00 on Monday 14 October 2024 (in 31 hours)
