Time to Talk Day

studentrights

It's Time to Talk Day, so your Student Rights Team is encouraging you to get talking, whether that's to your mates, family, tutors, or university wellbeing team.

Generally, we're eager to share with others when we're experiencing positive emotions such as joy, excitement, and happiness, but when we're going through periods in our life where we're feeling less positive, it can be difficult to talk about. We understand that you might not always feel like you can talk to those closest to you, which is why we believe listening services are a great tool for when you're feeling down, or just want a sympathetic ear. Nightline is a non-judgemental, confidential, student-run listening service, that is free! You can email, instant message, or phone them (check their website for operating hours).

Another way you can get talking is by meeting people and making new friends. Sheffield Hallam Students' Union has loads of great stuff going on and there is something to suit everyone.
