As we’re starting to approach Summer, you might be looking for things you can do with your family if you’re a student parent. Here are our suggestions of fun, relatively cheap activities you and your family can do!

Keep an eye on Give It A Go

Our Give It A Go page is regularly updated with all kinds of fun things to do. There might be something you can do as a family activity such as alpaca walks, trips out to tourist spots and drive in musical experiences.

Get back to nature

As the weather improves, try getting out to enjoy nature again! If the weather isn’t so great, don’t let the rain stop you - why not get those raincoats on and go for a lovely nature-spotting trip at a green space near you.

Museums and Theme Parks

Many theme parks, museums, and other cool day out experiences are already open for the season, so have a look at what’s out there as there’s bound to be somewhere that works for you and matches your budget.

Visit animals at a Farm Park

Farm parks are open! These places can often rely on tourism and visitors, so if you and your family love animals, pay one of these a visit. Heely City Farm is in Sheffield City Centre and it’s free to visit!

Keep it simple and take a trip to a park

An easy option, usually free or low cost, perfect on a sunny day! Get a picnic packed and head somewhere local for a nice trip out.
