Delivered by AP Training Services, this 1 day course will be a mix of practical and theory based learning covering 1st aid elements such as; CPR, broken bones, major bleeds, allergies etc. The training will cover most of the basic knowledge required to pass and receive a certificate. The course is nationally accredited and recognised by Ofqual which makes this a valuable addition to your CV.

Learning Outcomes

The content of this course provides basic life saving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations, covering the following:

The role of the first aider

 

Fainting

Managing an emergency

 

Health and safety (first aid) regulations

Communication and casualty care

 

Resuscitation (adult CPR)

Bleeding (minor and severe)

 

Seizures (adult)

Burns

 

Shock

Choking (adult)

 

Unconscious casualty

 

FAA* Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF).

Qualification Code 603/2080/1 Credit Value 1

The course is delivered and assessed by Nuco Training Ltd. This qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety Regulations (First Aid) 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982. The qualification is delivered and assessed in accordance with current Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines. The qualification is valid for three years from the achievement date.
