We are Creative Writing Sheffield!
We meet once a week to play creative writing activities, read each other's work, and generally have a laugh. We are a relaxed, friendly group, so feel free to come along and join whether you're a beginner or an avid writer. There is also no pressure to read your work out if you don't feel comfortable. We also accept all forms of writing from poetry to prose, from songs to scripts. We have also had people pitch plans for work they were unsure on where to take and get feedback that way so don't feel like you only have to submit completed work
We've got a lot planned for the new year, from writing activities, to "Give It a Go's", to socials, including our "Curryoke" nights and trips.
Our sessions usually consist of a prompt and writing activity to get you writing, a talk on a techical aspect of writing and also two readings where members can share their work and get feedback from the group.
Finally we are partnered with the uni of and currently running the sessions out of their rooms. You can find us at Classroom 8, 38 Mappin Street, S1 4DT every Monday from 18:00-19:30.
