Although projects will be running in the 20/21 academic year they may look a little different than before, due to social distancing guidelines. This means meetings and sessions may be done virtually - the volunteering team will guide you on this. 

Project Aim

The news is constantly full of stories about natural disasters, heatwaves, endangered and extinct species and dying habitats. Often it isn't even mentioned that this is due to the climate crisis caused by the way humans are treating the earth, and its a huge cause of anxiety for many people who feel like the people in power aren't doing enough about it.

Do you experience eco anxiety, and want to do something to help? Especially during the pandemic when changes in society are ready to happen, would you want to take part in returning to normal life but in more sustainable way and promote this in Hallam!?

As a volunteer in the Sustainability Project you will be part of a team where you can fill one of a selection of roles, or just come along for sustainable events! You will help to set up, promote and get involved with events such as climate marches, volunteering days and ‘green drinks’. We are looking for enthusiastic people who want to become part of a group of like-minded people where we can all have fun and get stuck into something we are all really passionate about!
