We are the Sheffield Hallam Student's Union Real Ale Society. We aim to promote a social atmosphere amongst people with a passion for Real Ale. Our society is open for anyone with a keen interest for the culture of pubs and beer. Whether it is lager, cider, or craft beer that strikes your interest, we are a welcoming society of all tastes.
If you'd like to broaden your horizons of what the Steel City breweries have to offer, or prefer a chinwag with friends in your favourite pub, this is the society for you.
Our weekly socials involve meeting new people and visiting new areas of Sheffield in a friendly atmosphere. Other events include taster sessions around Sheffield's real ale pubs, bar crawls with the best beers in South Yorkshire, and beer festivals in the surrounding areas.
