Hi everyone!

Molly, Fern, Annie, Tammie, Ellie and Luke here- your first official and founding members of the Sheffield Hallam English Society!
Our aim, as a society, is to bring together a whole range of students with a love for English, whether it's Literature, Language, Creative Writing, English and History or you just love a bit of everything- we don't care, we just want you to get yourselves involved!

We hope to organise events throughout the year to bring you altogether and help you to meet people who share a love for the subject- we thought it was about time English Socials came to Sheffield Hallam. That's right... although we'll hope to arrange guest lectures and talks- working closely with the staff to coordinate this... there will also be the chance for a good few nights out and a SHSU English Society vs University of Sheffield English Society Bar Crawl might even be on the cards in the near future!

As well as being there for the fun, we hope you will see this as an opportunity to meet new friends and contacts who can help you on your course or with day-to-day life at University and there are plenty of ways that you can get involved with us too! There might also be an end of year ball if we're lucky!
