Project overview 

Beards & Books is a holistic programme for children and young people. The programme focuses on hosting story time events, publishing online educational content, offering tuition/mentoring, offering book subscription boxes to families whilst celebrating African and Caribbean culture with the wider community.

What you will be doing

This role is all about assisting us in developing and managing our website.

The role includes improving our website functionality, aesthetics and visibility.

You decide which layout works best for our website, what themes work best, what effects work best and how user-friendly our website is for browsers.

You evaluate content, designs and pages with the end goal of improving our user experience.

Location     

This role is currently remote.

• You will need an interest in learning how to use WordPress.

• You will need good organisational skills to manage the activities.

• You will need patience to understand how our systems work. 

• You will need to be proactive and use your initiative.

• You will need a ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to learn new things.

• An eye for detail.
