Beards & Books is a holistic programme for children and young people. The programme focuses on hosting story time events, publishing online educational content, offering tuition/mentoring, offering book subscription boxes to families whilst celebrating African and Caribbean culture with the wider community.
This role is all about assisting us in developing and managing our website.
The role includes improving our website functionality, aesthetics and visibility.
You decide which layout works best for our website, what themes work best, what effects work best and how user-friendly our website is for browsers.
You evaluate content, designs and pages with the end goal of improving our user experience.
This role is currently remote.
Beards and Books is an educational programme which focuses on providing tuition, delivering mentoring workshops, publishing online educational content, hosting story time events and curating subscription boxes for children and young people.

Learn how to WordPress site this includes learning how to use plugins, understanding website analytics and the use of blogs onto a site these skills are transferable.
You will need an interest in learning how to use WordPress.
You will need good organisational skills to manage the activities.
You will need patience to understand how our systems work.
You will need to be proactive and use your initiative.
You will need a ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to learn new things.
An eye for detail.
