MaSH invite you to attend an FGM (female genital mutilation) Masterclass held by Ashiana, Sheffield.

WHO: Anyone interested in learning more about FGM


COST: £3 MaSH members, £4 non-members


WHAT: The Masterclass will give a general overview of FGM, use case studies to aid learning, and discuss the mandatory reporting duties for health and social care professionals. We will also hear about the work Ashiana do, including development of a local FGM strategy which involves a pathway for professionals who encounter women who have hard or are at risk of FGM.

Female genital mutilation (FGM), sometimes known as cutting or female circumcision, describes a range of procedures which involve partial or total removal of the external female genitalia for non-medical reasons.
