Join the Give It A Go team for a trip to IKEA, Sheffield. The enormous IKEA warehouse is the largest home and housewares shopping centre in Sheffield.

If you’ve never been to IKEA, you’re missing out on a fabulous shopping experience! This Swedish gem has anything you could want for your home and more. Just in time for move-in days, if you’re looking for any items to spruce up your dorm or house, join us for this IKEA trip. Book a ticket, get your mood board and Pinterest ready…They even have an onsite Swedish cafeteria – the meatballs are legendary!

We will meet at The HUBS and take a private coach to IKEA. It’s a perfect opportunity for you join us in a relaxed setting and make some new friends with similar interests. Plus, you don’t have to worry about how to get to and from the venue.

Ticket Information  

Tickets for this trip are £3.50 return. You do need to purchase your ticket to gain a spot on the trip.  Please note that in addition to the coach ticket, you will need to pay for your own store purchases and any food and drink you consume onsite.

Things to know

  • Arrive at The HUBS in plenty of time before the event so we can check you in
  • Have your e-ticket ready, this can be on your phone
  • The coach leaves HUBS at 5:30pm and will pick up at IKEA at 7:30pm
  • If you are late for the event and have not let us know we may give your spot to someone on the waiting list
  • Unfortunately, we are unable to wait if you are late getting to the coach. If we leave without you, you will need to find your way back to Sheffield
  • COVID-19: We want to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all of our students and staff, so if you exhibit symptoms or test positive for Covid-19 or have been advised to self-isolate, please do not come to the event and advise our staff via email. In line with government rules, we kindly ask that you wear a mask indoors

Terms and Conditions

Tickets, Cancellations, Refunds and Adverse Weather Conditions

  1. All tickets once sold are strictly non-refundable in all circumstances except where an event is cancelled by Give it a Go. Notifications of cancellations will be given on social media and email where available.
  2. Give it a Go is open to Sheffield Hallam University students and its Alumni only. Each student must book their own ticket however Give it a Go takes no liabilities if a guest is denied access without the proper production of an NUS or uCard.
  3. As the Covid-19 situation can change rapidly, we will advise you if the trip must be cancelled due to staff shortage or government restrictions. In the case of a free event, you do not need to do anything; if you have paid for the event it will be refunded if the event must be cancelled.

Expected Conduct and Liabilities

  1. Please observe the authority of the event host and follow all reasonable instructions. Our staff and guides are there to keep you safe!
  2. We advise against you taking expensive or sentimental belongings to these events. Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union cannot be held liable or responsible for any losses sustained to property however caused.

A. Please email SUevents@shu.ac.uk as soon as possible so we can release your spot to someone on the waitlist. Please note your ticket, once purchased, is non-refundable so please ensure you can make it when you book on
