The Be Inspired Conference will be an afternoon of discovery, Team work and Inspiration. We will firstly be hosting a number of speakers including one very special guest, Kayode Damali!

Kayode was a contestant The Apprentice series 13 and has plenty of guidance and inspirational words! We will also gain advice from our other speakers and most importantly their experiences as a leader! Guaranteed to get you thinking about where you lead in your life.

Additional to this we will also have interactive workshops to put your skills to the test and hopefully learn something new! These workshops will include hearing from an industry expert on how to leverage your network, how to successfully apply and perform within different types of industries, companies and recruitment processes and more!

Meet our guest speakers:

Helen Francis

Helen has worked with both large corporates and SMEs helping to design graduate schemes as well as delivering the entire recruitment process. Having had a lot of personal experience applying for roles herself during her time travelling for 4 years, she is able to share her top tips as well as data insight from different industries. Having worked within Student Unions’ and Universities previously and currently, this has given her a deep understanding of how institutions, employers and students each play a part in the successful cycle of recruitment from attraction to retention.

Darren Douglas

Darren Douglas is a Student Support Coordinator at the University of West London and has worked extensively with young people and students from diverse backgrounds through projects and organisations including the University of West London, YMCA East London, Roundhouse Studios, Arsenal In The Community, National Youth Theatre, People’s Palace Project. 

In October 2018 he released his motivational empowerment book ‘Power of 21 – Pathways towards a Brighter Future’ which was inspired by and created for young people and students.

It features exclusive interviews from highly respected and stand out individuals who are current trailblazers in their sectors and believe in young people and the difference that they can make.
