As an automatic member of the SU we want our students to get the most out of their time at University. We are here to support and inspire them throughout their Hallam journey.
We are all about passion, honesty, dedication, innovation and diversity, and put these values at the heart of everything we do for students.
We are located at the University's City Campus, in the iconic HUBS building. Our students can find their feet in Sheffield and explore spaces across campus. They can join a society and make friends for life doing the things they love, or jump into something completely new with our Give it a Go programme! They can be the difference in their community by joining one of our volunteering projects and attend our FREE skills sessions to boost their employability. Our members can also access FREE confidential support via our Student Advice Centre - here for you when things don't go to plan.

As a charity, the Students' Union must have a Board of Trustees to oversee key decision making which relates to the future of the organisation. The trustees have a responsibility to ensure that the Students' Union is not threatened by wrong financial decisions, does not break the law and that the work that is being done is for the benefit of its members – Sheffield Hallam students.
