How to Vote

  • Please make sure you are logged into the Students' Union website. Without logging in you will not be able to vote. Click student login and you will be transferred to your Blackboard sign-in page. 

  • Once you have logged in the site will transfer you back to this page: www.hallamstudentsunion.com/shakeitup
  • Click VOTE NOW and you will be presented with the option to abstain, vote yes or vote no
  • You can reread the For/Against campaigns and click the voting buttons below
  • The website will then pop up with a message asking you to confirm your decision please make sure you are happy with your decision before continuing
  • THAT'S IT! You have voted and have used your voice to shape your future at Hallam. You will be sent back to the Shake it Up page where you will see confirmation of the time and date you voted in the referendum.

How to redeem your incentives

  • Ticket Draws

  • All students who vote in the Referendum will be entered into a prize draw to win one of the following:-
  • A pair of tickets to the Varsity Ice Hockey final held on Wednesday 1st April at FLYDSA Arena (3 pairs available)
  • A pair of tickets to the Varsity Men’s & Women’s Football final held on Saturday 28th Match at Hillsborough SWFC (2 pairs available)
  • A VIP Hallam Nation Package including 8 tickets queue jump, a bottle of house vodka and mixers to be shared with the group (2 packages available) The package must be pre-booked in advance with Hallam Nation.
  • The draw will take place on Thursday 20th February with winners informed by email on Friday 21st February.
  • Prizes are non-transferrable.
