What can I expect from PhySoc?

Last year we had all our socials online in a quiz format due to Covid-19. However, this year we aim to host a variety of standard activities such as socials, quizzes, talks and treasure hunts however, we also have big plans to organize at least one “off campus” activity this year! MUCH WOW!

Why should I join the Discord server?

Our Discord is a place to chat to the rest of the physics students, ask a question just to your year group or just anyone who wants to join in on the physics society fun! It will be our meeting place for our online events, an area to ask for help from your peers or somewhere to share sketchy physics memes.

We will also share any relevant news on there, such as upcoming events or changes to events. We may also hold polls on the Discord in an effort to better inform what activities we plan out.

How will I find out about upcoming events?

We will update our activities on this page as soon as they are planned, and we will let you know through our social media channels and via email of any upcoming events.

I am not a physics student, can I join?

If you are interested in physics or socialising with people who are interested in physics, then this is the place for you, it doesn’t matter if you are a physics student, we will gladly have you!
