The Society
Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union Gaming & Esports society is focused on the appreciation of video games. While part of our focus is to compete against other Universities in major games such as League of Legends, Dota 2, Rocket League, Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Overwatch, it’s not our only interest! We support casual gaming just as much! We have a host of new casual servers for people to find likeminded, similar interest members to make some new friends, play some games and look for groups to play with throughout the year. We're partnered with some amazing organisations such as NSE, the National Student E-Sport association of which is the core of E-sport within the UK, and NUEL, which give us access to sponsorships from Intel, Monster Energy and much more!
Our primary aim is to provide an environment that encourages socialisation, competitive spirit, and fun. With an array of events and new additions planned for this year, you can look forward to:

Due to covid over the last couple of years, the society has been on a quieter stretch with in person events not being possible or any sort of competitions. This year, for 2022-2023, we're back on track with events, competitions, socials and much more, so come join and have a look! It's a free society!
