Walking Group Volunteer - Forge Dam

Assist with a gentle walking group, provide refreshments and help with getting customers to and from the walking group.

Overview of Project

Age UK Sheffield offers a weekly walking group at Forge Dam. This is a free casual social gathering with refreshments provided for people aged 75 and over.

This Role Involves

· Welcoming people and engaging with them · Offer to listen and chat, when appropriate · Offering lifts to and from walk venue (desirable, but not essential)

· Have a commitment to supporting the community · Professional, friendly and outgoing manner · Ability to work using your own initiative · Be flexible in approach, keen to listen and sensitive to the needs of the customer · A positive attitude about diversity (age, gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, etc) · Commitment to work within Age UK Sheffield guidelines

This role is available on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month 2pm to 4pm.
