Decorate a Bookmark!

This opportunity takes place on 15 May 2025

Want to use your crafting skills for good? Join this bookmark decorating session and create a wonderful bookmark to donate to the cost of living shop!

Overview of Project

Come and create some beautiful bookmarks to donate to the Cost of Living Shop!

This Role Involves

In this crafting session, we will be decorating bookmarks to donate to the cost of living shop. The decorating theme is to create a design based on your favourite book. For example, you may want to include your favourite quote, draw your favourite character or even your favourite setting! Feel free to come up with your own design if you don't want to stick to the theme. We would love for you to make lots of bookmarks so don't feel limited to one design. Your beautiful bookmarks will then be donated to the Cost of Living Shop so that other students can have a bookmark to use for their books.

Location

The Hideout (in HUBS - the Student Union Building)

Skills/Experience Required

No skills are required - just be ready to pick and pen and get decorating!

Benefits to Others

This will enable struggling students to have a cheerful bookmark when they pick up a book from the Cost of Living Shop. This will not only help others students to keep track of their book but may also provide some comfort, making students experiencing financial pressures feel part of our Hallam community.

Benefits to the Volunteer

This is a great way to relax and take a break from exams and essays. If you make multiple bookmarks, you can also take one of your designs home!
