GIAG Rhubarb Farm

This opportunity takes place on 21 May 2025 Closing date for applications is 20 May.

Rhubarb Farm is a social enterprise and charity, based in Langwith, who support individuals with diverse needs. On your GIAG session you will be helping on a variety of tasks on the farm that could include the below: Soil preparation Seed sowing Plant cultivation, care, propagation, and harvesting Pest and weed control Watering Site maintenance tasks

Make sure to wear protective shoes and bring gardening gloves if you have them! The session will run from 10 - 2, so bring some lunch and water.

Overview of Project

The project aims to increase confidence, aspirations and green skills through volunteering. Currently, we have a growing list of volunteer opportunities within the Bolsover district and all will have a focus on sustainability and the environment. We have several opportunities live and ready for new volunteers to take part in. The outcomes for the project are: • Improved confidence, aspirations and skill levels (particularly green skills) • Improved wellbeing and social connections • Improved green / sustainability practices in the VCSE sector in the Bolsover district • Increased intergenerational skill sharing • Increased volunteer opportunities for 16 to 25 year olds

This is dependent on role and will be discussed at point of application.

No experience or skills are required- these opportunities are open to anyone within the age bracket.
