Bucket collections and general fundraising at a Sheffield United Match Day!

We are one of Sheffield United’s chosen charities, so on a Match Day we need volunteers to help collect donations. This event is to raise money to help patients live better with dementia.

Date: Saturday 8th February

Time (approx.): 12pm-3pm TBC 

Location: SUFC, Brammall Lane, Sheffield, S2 4SU   

Role Available: Bucket collections and general fundraising on the day. 

More information: The collection will take place outside, so you will be outside for a long period of time in the cold. 

Overview of Project

We are one of Sheffield United's chosen charities, so on a Match Day we need volunteers to help collect donations. This event is to support Sheffield Hospitals Charity’s Christmas appeal, which centres around helping patients with dementia. We help Sheffield’s hospitals and social care services to cover costs their NHS budgets can’t. By funding support for patients and staff, life-changing research and more, we enhance care from birth to the end of life and everything in between.

This Role Involves

We are looking for volunteers to help us with our bucket collections and general fundraising.

Location

SUFC, Brammall Lane, Sheffield, S2 4SU

Skills/Experience Required

This role will require communication skills to speak to the general public in order to receive donations when collecting.

Benefits to Others

Help facilitate the raising of money for patients with dementia in Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and Social Care Services.

Benefits to the Volunteer

Gain an insight into events. Build confidence and experience speaking to others, both in the public and in a team environment.

All volunteers will receive a briefing both before and on the day.
