For the third year in a row, Hallam SU has risen the ranks of the UK's largest annual survey of final year undergraduate students - the NSS.
Great news... we're continuing our climb up the National Student Survey (NSS) rankings!
We're pleased to announce that 68.8% of students positively agreed that we represent their academic interests, an increase of 2.3% from last year. This sees us climb the rankings for the third consecutive year; now placing 112th among all UK SUs.
This rise in positive sentiment and our improved ranking shows the hard work and dedication from our staff, your student reps, and all our partners is really paying off in making your Uni experience better. All the improvements we've rolled out over the last year, driven by student feedback from previous NSS surveys, are genuinely making a difference.
While there’s always more to do, this progress is a clear sign that we're on the right track; our focus on student voice, representation, and support is actually having a meaningful impact. We'll continue listening to student voices, acting on your feedback, and making sure your time at Hallam isn't just about smashing your grades, but about having a genuinely fulfilling and memorable experience too.
Why should the NSS matter to you?
The NSS is the UK's biggest survey gathering the honest views of final-year undergraduate students on their course quality and overall university experience. Published survey results not only inform university league tables, but also provide an important benchmark for student satisfaction.
When your time comes to complete the survey, your honest feedback in the NSS is invaluable. It directly influences how Hallam identifies its strengths and, more importantly, where improvements can be made to enhance the student experience for both current and future students.
Thank you to every student who took the time to share their views through the NSS, and to our brilliant Hallam SU staff who continue to champion those voices every day.
