Hallam Students' Union are aware of the ongoing unrest and tensions in Iran and understand these events may be deeply concerning and stressful for our students who have personal, cultural, or other connections to the country.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected, and we recognise these events may impact the wellbeing of Hallam's Iranian students, our Iranian communities across Sheffield, and anyone with loved ones impacted by the situation.

As always, Hallam SU remains a safe and inclusive space for all students. We encourage our Hallam community to be mindful of the situation, and to treat one another with kindness and compassion.

Support for affected students

• Access wellbeing support through the University.
• Talk to your Student Support Adviser.
• Contact the University's Chaplaincy at chaplaincy@shu.ac.uk. The Chaplaincy are supportive of all Hallam students.
• SU Advice can advise if your ability to fulfil academic commitments has been impacted.
• If you need to report a hate crime or incident, we encourage you to report it using Hallam's dedicated Report and Support service.
