We are deeply saddened by the tragic crash of an Air India flight on 12 June.

Our thoughts and sincerest condolences go to all those who have lost loved ones or been injured. We recognise that members of the Hallam community may be directly or indirectly affected by this devastating event and our thoughts are also with them at this time.

Support for affected students

If you've been impacted by this incident, either directly or indirectly, or if someone you know has been affected, we encourage you to seek help through the following channels:

  • Sheffield Hallam University provide wellbeing support if you would like to talk to someone about how you are feeling.
  • It is a good idea for you to talk with your Student Support Adviser if you've been impacted in any way.
  • You can contact Sheffield Hallam University's International Chaplain, Riley, at chaplaincy@shu.ac.uk. The Chaplaincy are supportive of all Hallam students, religious or not.
  • SU Advice can advise you if your funding situation or your ability to fulfil academic commitments has been impacted.
