Advice + Help

The Students' Union Advice Service is a free, confidential and independent service.
The Students' Union Advice Service is a free, confidential and independent service.

The Advice Service is here to help you with any queries or problems you may have while you are at University. They can help with everything from “where can I get a SHU card?” through to representing you at County Court… and if they cannot help you,  they will know someone who can!

The Advice Service consists of a team of professionally trained and experienced advisers who are independent of the University. The service is  free, independent, and confidential. No problem is too big, or too small, and no question is too silly. They are there to help you.

We also co-ordinate the Welfare Thursday service here at the Advice Service as part of the Healthy Hallam initiative. You can find out more about this and see the dates it is running here.

Please note the Advice Service at City and Collegiate Campus will be closed from 12pm on Friday 21st July.
