A Scout Group based in Netheredge Sheffield. Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development...

Assistant Cub Scout leader

This opportunity is ongoing, with no end date.

This is a great opportunity to get involved in the Scouts. You'll support the operation of the Cub Scout Section, in particular, the planning and delivery of our 'Balanced Programme' to the section with the help of the Cub Scout Leader, Section Assistants and Young Leaders

As well as gaining externally recognised skills and having a brilliant time, Scouting also offers the chance to build on personal skills, like teamwork, confidence and leadership. A study found that over 90% of our volunteers believe that the skills and experiences they have gained through Scouting have been of relevance to their working or personal lives.

St Oswald's Scout Group is doubling the size of the Group to meet local need. Some adult support already exists and new assistants are required to meet the local demand for Scouting.

There is no requirement to attend every week, flexible volunteering means that you can contribute to meet your other commitments. All that we ask is that you are involved in the planning process and provide support when you agree to.
