Art Camp Assistant

Do you enjoy helping others unlock their creativity? This summer we are running a magic themed art camp at Everyday Creativity where kids will be welcomed into another universe to enjoy a wide range of exciting drama, music, arts and crafts activities! We are on the lookout for volunteers to help with the smooth running of the camp and to support children in expressing themselves, making weird and wonderful creations and having fun. This role provides opportunities to develop skills in working with children and facilitating arts activities. Maybe you are thinking of working with in children in the future and want to develop your understanding of them and how you can help them reach their potential. Maybe you are interested in a career in the arts and are curious to explore how you can share your creative skills with others in meaningful ways. We have worked with students from a whole range of backgrounds and are always eager to help everyone get the most out of the experience. Get involved and develop skills in communication, facilitation, team work and more all while building confidence and having a lot of fun!

Everyday Creativity is a new Sheffield based organisation with a mission to bring more creativity into people's everyday! We are all about getting people to improvise, try new things, explore and have fun. Whether you have never done any art before or are a professional, everyone is welcome! Situated at Hagglers Corner on Queens Road, this is a new creative hub made up of a growing community. We have been running after school arts and crafts clubs for the 2025/2026 academic year and are soon to expand, opening up these clubs to 5 days per week and developing classes for adults too. Overview of Project

Everyday Creativity is a space that invites people from all walks of life to step out of the busy world we live in, tap into their creativity and get wonderfully lost in the joy of making art.

This Role Involves

Helping children unlock their creativity whether that's encouraging them to partake in a bit of drama improvisation or helping them construct their own pair of colourful magical wings! This role is all about encouraging children, helping them get the most out of the camp and being part of keeping them safe and happy.

Skills/Experience Required

No experience required, all that is needed is open mindedness and enthusiasm to work with children and get creative!

Children do not get enough creative opportunities at school these days. In this role you can help give children the opportunities they deserve and are so passionate about. Through this you will help them develop their confidence, self expression, skills and make memories for life.

Role Duration

This camp runs from the 17th to the 21st of August. We are welcoming volunteers to volunteer for anything from a half day to the whole week- just let us know what works best for you!

Time Commitment (hours Per week/month/year, etc)

At least a half day

Training Information

Prior to volunteering you will be welcomed for a short induction in the principles of facilitation, safeguarding and health and safety.
