MotorFest Meadowhall - One-Off Events Volunteer

Rev up your weekend and volunteer with us at MotorFest! Join the Bluebell Wood team at Meadowhall on Sunday 31st May, 8am–4pm, for a day of automotive excitement – all to support Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

We have a range of volunteer roles:

• Enrichment & Supplier Liaison Volunteers – Support entertainers and third-party suppliers to ensure everything runs smoothly and they have a great experience

• Front Entrance & Ticketing Volunteers – Welcome members of the public at the main entrance and help ensure a smooth, friendly entry to the event

• Welfare Team Volunteers – Warm, empathetic individuals; first aid experience is desirable but not essential

• Paddock Marshals – Help members of the public enjoy a safe and seamless experience around the cars in the paddock areas

• Merch & Info Volunteers – Share information with visitors and assist with merchandise sales

• Games & Activity Volunteers – Ideal for people with a competitive edge who can bring fun and energy to our games and activity area

• Steward Volunteers – Support across the site, including assisting with traffic flow and general visitor guidance.

All these roles involve being great communicators, as you'll be connecting with members of the public, being calm, confident and organised individuals, whilst representing Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice as an Events Volunteer.

Skills/Experience Required

We’re looking for volunteers who: Are trustworthy, friendly, respectful and have good communication skills as you will be engaging with exhibitors, members of the public, staff and fellow volunteers. Are willing to volunteer as part of a team. Are able to confidently communicate with members of the public. Have basic knowledge of mathematics and are able to confidently handle cash donations. Are calm in busy situations. Are able to be active for extended periods of time. Able to follow and give clear instructions Have a good awareness of their surroundings and safety risks
