"Determine your priorities and focus on them."
I’m Adeyemi Otebolaku. I’m studying MSc Electrical and Electronic Engineering and I’m the Business, Technology and Engineering College Officer for the 2021/22 academic year.
Clean and tidy.
I developed interest in this role because I like taking up challenging responsibilities and making positive impacts on the lives of people around me.
As the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Course Rep, I have experience in quality leadership and student representation, where I have made my fellow students’ voices heard by presenting their academic issues and learning experiences to both the Students’ Union and academic staff, and at the same time communicated effectively the feedback to the students.
My passion for students’ concerns inspired me to run for an officer role to improve the wider student experience at SHU.
I love being a student at Sheffield because Sheffield is a home to people of diverse cultures and backgrounds. Its vibrant city centre, serene environment and social scene make feel as part of the community as an international student.
I don’t have a specific place, I go to parks and pubs.
I would love to work as a Project Engineer in a renewable energy company.
I love playing chess, cooking and reading technical articles.
My favourite meal is a combination of rice, beans and fried plantain.
Watching TikTok and YouTube videos on my phone late at night.
