The Sheffield Hallam Students Union First Aid Society (or SHSUFASoc for short- a little less of a mouthful) is a home for everyone who wants to learn first aid skills. We meet alongside the University of Sheffield First Aid Society, allowing us to offer more diverse and comprehensive training. We meet on a weekly basis and offer training, support and feedback in a relaxed and fun environment.
We meet once a week in the Hicks Building at the University of Sheffield at 7.30 in lecture room LT10. Don’t worry if you don’t know where it is- we are always available to help out.
What we do
Basic first aid training- teaching you important skills from CPR, the recovery position, shock, stroke, seizures to sepsis. The list really does goes on.
We train through a variety of different ways including group work, games, scenarios and role play.
The Social Side
After each meeting we go to the pub for a drink- this gives us chance to have a laugh, catch up and form great relationships.
Throughout the year we will be organising a wide range of social events- these are always loads of fun and there is something for everyone- so you only need to turn up and join in.
