Each Sunday, during term-time, we go on a daywalk in the Peak District which is a 20/30min bus or train ride from the center of Sheffield, and roughly every 5 weeks we go on a weekend trip to some other place in the UK.
For our weekend trips, we travel to such places as North Wales, South Wales, the Lake District, North Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire Dales, The New Forest, Northumberland and Scotland.
After our weekly meetings (traditionally held in a class room on Tuesday night) we always go for a pint (or two) and some food and then head to one of the local pubs.
Once every few weeks we also organize a social event, such as 10-pin bowling, pub golf, laser quest, go-karting, Alton Towers, the always popular Brewery Tour and some very interesting pub crawls.
Another of our yearly highlights is the Christmas Dinner, where we not only gather for some good food and drink, but also honour and award members that have done something outstanding, memorable, or just plain hilarious.
We meet every Tuesday during term at 7.30pm in room 942, Owen Building (main building @ City Campus), so feel free to come along! Subject to change contact us for more details.
You can purchase memberships from here throughout the year.
