Sheffield Hallam Students' Union is run by five, full time, elected Student Officers and exists to provide representation, facilities, services and activities to its members.

As one of the largest societies in the Union, Sheffield Hallam Students' Union's Geography Society is a vibrant community for both those that study Geography-related courses at Sheffield Hallam as well as students who are interested in the variety of events we run. This includes guest lectures, extra study support sessions, frequent 'night out' socials with exclusive discounts for members, film nights, social day trips, an end of year ball, and following recent successes, an international field trip - this year's location is Prague!

Having won the National Union of Students (NUS) award for Committment to Participation in 2016, as well as being nominated for several SHSU Societies Awards including winning three (Society of the Year, Best Event and Most Social Social), we have been recognised for hosting a wide range of events to a incredibly high standard and putting in as much effort as possible to include others and work alongside the Union, the University, and the local community.

The society welcomes everyone and can be found via social media or email and is happy to answer any questions!

Geogsoc and Knit Like Your Nana are meeting up for a natter in Coffee Union! Both societies are hosting this event so you can come down and have a nice chat over a cuppa, and maybe even try some knitting if you fancy!
