ABOUT US

Humanist Students is affiliated to Humanists UK. We support and represent non-religious students on campus. We want the world to be a tolerant place where rational thinking and kindness prevail. We support human rights, equality, secularism and free expression; championing ideas for the one life we have.

We welcome all students wanting to explore non-religious approaches to life, whether you idenitfy as humanist, atheist, sceptic, no-religion, or just not sure.

We are committed to engaging in respectful multi-faith dialogue with fellow students and societies, and have worked with the University Chaplaincy to appoint a non-religious advisor. This is a fantastic benefit for non-religious students wishing to access like minded emotional or existential support.

**We currently need committee members for the next academic year who want to take the society forward for 2019/20. There is plenty of help available to anyone thinking of a more active role in the society, this would be a very rewarding opportunity to build skills that you can take forward into your career. Please get in touch if you would like to know more.**
