The 'Rep of the month' Award recognises Course Reps who've gone above and beyond in their role. Students, staff, and Reps themselves can nominate any Rep they feel is working hard to represent their course or department well and, ultimately, improving Hallam's student experience.
Winners of 'Rep of the month' receive a £10 Amazon voucher prize! We also interview our winners to find out how they've found their role so far.
Why did you become a course rep?
My primary reason for the position of course rep was I have passion for taking responsibilities especially being a voice for my coursemates for them to be heard by the necessary authorities that need to hear them.
What is a positive difference you've made as a course rep?
I have changed many pessimistic coursemates to be optimistic and achieve good grades. I have created platforms where coursemates can say what their views are, and I channelled them to the appropriate staff to address such.
