On Saturday 11 November Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union hosted the 'Zebedee Catwalk Show' on behalf of Zebedee Management, a specialist talent agency working with children and adults with disabilities.
One of the Directors of Zebedee is Laura Johnson, a Sheffield Hallam student who won a social enterprise 'Grow it' Innovation Award from the Students’ Union last year. Whilst studying at Sheffield Hallam, Laura was made aware of funding available to her via Sheffield Hallam Students' Union and subsequently she applied for the Grow It Award as part of the Innovation Award scheme. She received funding to grow Zebedee in May 2017, funding which has gone towards a range of things from photoshoots and accessible studio space to build their models' portfolios to the company website, travel costs and marketing materials.
Laura spoke to us about the event and the Zebedee journey so far:
The successful sell out event was hosted by Emmerdale actress Sophie Powles and makeup artist and beauty influencer Tess Daly, another Hallam graduate. See here for event photography.
Congratulations to Laura and Zoe and all of the Zebedee Management team.
