Sheffield Hallam Students' Union contributes to the opening of new £40m Children's Hospital wing

The Sheffield Children's Hospital have just opened a £40m new wing and we, Sheffield Hallam Students' Union, are proud that we were able to support this.

As part of the NSS, each year our then RAG (Raising and Giving) student team headed up by the Activities Officer, pledged to donate money to 3 set charities (of which the Children's Hospital was one) for every survey that was completed. Through this we were able to raise a healthy sum of money over the years for the Childrens' Hospital which went towards the new build.

On Thursday (26th April) evening, we received some very exciting news informing us that the new build was complete. We were sent some pictures including this one to the right of the plaque with our name on it. This was very exciting!

Most importantly this new wing will mean that young patients from Yorkshire and beyond will be able to get some of the best care in the world.
