Last week we received the fantastic news that two of our students, Daniel Turland and Jordan Parry had been chosen to represent Scotland students in the rugby league in the upcoming Home Nations tournament in Ireland in June.
Sheffield Hallam Students' Union is very proud of both students and will be supporting the students with kit requirement and other things that they need to have in time for the tournamanet next month.
Dan Turland, a 3rd year Sports Development with Coaching student has been "playing rugby since I was 10…then switched codes to rugby league at 16".
Jordan Parry, a 3rd year Maths student also "started with rugby union at 16 then switched 2nd year of uni to play league".
Being selected for the squad is something Daniel and Jordan should be very proud of. We wish them all the best in the tournament next month.
