Student Volunteering Week is back!
Join us 13-19 February to celebrate student volunteering in all forms! You'll have the chance to get involved in some amazing one-off volunteering 'Give it a Go' opportunities, meet some of our partner organisations at our Volunteering Fair, get your hands on some great freebies and prizes, meet our team, and even celebrate with us at one of Sheffield's newest and most exciting venues, Roxy Ballroom.
Are you a volunteer? Would you like to volunteer, but aren't sure where to start? We're the home of volunteering at Hallam, and this Student Volunteering Week we want to celebrate our amazing student volunteers and inspire more students and staff to get involved in volunteering.
There are so many reasons to become a volunteer - from building your CV and gaining new skills, to meeting new people, exploring the city, and helping out in the community. This Student Volunteering Week, we're challenging you to think about what you could do to get involved!
Are you a member of staff at Hallam? Staff can also get involved in certain events this Student Volunteering Week, including all Meet the Volunteering Team events, The Volunteering Fair, The Foodbank Donation Drive and The Paint and Pot Workshop!
Are spaces on the event you wanted to take part in fully booked? Don't worry! As well as the one-off events and activities for Student Volunteering Week, our online system hosts over 100 opportunities from partner organisations, hand picked for Hallam students and staff and can be accessed year-round. You can also find out more about volunteering, book an appointment with our Volunteering team or drop them an email at volunteering@shu.ac.uk.

Our student volunteers inspire us every day, so we want to share some of their stories. Watch the following video to hear from students involved with volunteering as they tell us what volunteering means to them.
Did you know being a Course Rep is volunteering? Every student can volunteer to be a Course Rep and help raise the voices of their coursemates. If you want to make a difference, problem solve, bring new ideas for change, or just see more 'behind the scenes' of how your course runs, this is the role for you.
To be a Course Rep, just sign up and we'll get in touch about your training which will teach you everything you need to know.
You can sign up by filling in a short form at hallamstudentsunion.com/reps. Can't see a form? Please make sure you're logged in to our website.
