Information for Organisations

Volunteering at Sheffield Hallam Students' Union is a volunteering service that provides voluntary opportunities for students and staff at Sheffield Hallam University.  If you are a local or national charity, voluntary or not-for-profit organisation then you can register with us and upload your opportunities on this website to recruit volunteers from the student body.

Registered organisations receive invite to the Voluntering Fair we run during Welcome Week, our brand new Community Partner Cafes and are welcome to book rooms in the HUBS to hold information sessions and induction talks. You will also be elegible to be awarded the Community Partner of the Month. Your opportunities will be promoted through our website, lecture shout-outs, social media channels and direct mail-outs. We are an open office and students regularly drop in to find out more about volunteering and what we offer.

If your proposed activity does not run on a regular basis, you will only need to complete a 'One-Off Activity Proposal' form. Our One-Off Programme is perfect for recruiting volunteers for single events or community projects which our students can turn up to on the day without extensive training.

Please note, we are unfortunately not able to take new partners looking for long term volunteers at this time. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Michael at m.scarborough@shu.ac.uk for further information. Our one-off programme is running as usual.
