1 hour sessions + 1-2 hours travel and 1hours planning.
Training will be given on how to deliver the sessions, classroom management training. There will also be health and safety and safeguarding training.

A teacher will be present at each session, meaning this is great opportunity to practice your delivery and classroom management skills with full support. You will gain skills in classroom management, presentation skills, engaging children, liaison and co-working with other volunteers and teachers and the evaluation of a project.
We are looking for confident, enthusiastic people who enjoy working with young people. Experience of the delivery of activities for children is desirable, but not essential.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed. We will pay for volunteers to travel to and from the schools by train, bus and taxi as required. Wherever possible, this will be pre-purchased by SHU staff.
