The Temporary Suspension of Face-To-Face Activities
On Saturday 31 October, the Prime Minister announced that a new set of national restrictions will come into force on Thursday 5 November.
As a result of this we have no choice but to suspend all organised face to face activity both indoors and outdoors until the foreseeable future from Thursday, 5 November. We will be reviewing this as and when government guidance changes. Online events can still take place.
We appreciate that this is both difficult and frustrating, especially for those of you that have worked tirelessly to ensure your groups can return to activity safely. This work will not go to waste though and will be integral to resuming activity again when it is safe to do so.
This impacts all Students’ Union face to face activities including, but not limited to, the following groups:
We know that student groups have the potential to have a huge impact over this next lockdown in helping to fight loneliness and social isolation, so it’s important that they don’t shut down completely.
Your Students' Union staff team will still be here for you to help you deliver your events and activities online during this challenging time. So please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
PLEASE NOTE THAT IF ANY OF THESE GUIDELINES ARE NOT ADHERED TO, THE UNION HOLD NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE EVENT/ACTIVITY IN QUESTION.
AS GOVERNMENT AND UNIVERSITY GUIDELINES CHANGE INFORMATION WILL BE RELEASED AS THIS BECOMES AVAILABLE.
