Delivered by Ashiana Sheffield the main aims of this training is to raise awareness and explore areas of abuse that predominantly affect women from BAMER communities.

  • To gain understanding of which communities are affected the most by the identified abuse
  • To identify barriers for BAMER women that may prevent them accessing support or place restrictions on day to day living
  • To look at ways that organisations can break down the barriers, promote equality and provide ease of access to services for BAMER women.
  • We will be covering some key issues that can affect the lives of women and girls from BAMER communities including issues such as: domestic violence, honour based violence, forced marriage, FGM, spiritual possession, and human trafficking.
