The Students’ Union Leadership Programme is a new and exciting opportunity that we are providing our student leaders within the Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union. As a student leader you will be able to enhance your leadership and employability skills, develop your own personal brand, work more effectively in teams, and build a greater understanding of how you can make an impact in your present activities and future career.

 

BENEFITS OF GETTING INVOLVED

  • Develop knowledge, skills and useful techniques that help you to become a more confident and effective leader

  • Learn how to initiate self –development and solve challenges by sharing, reflecting and learning from your own leadership practice and experience

  • Action Learning through doing

  • Identify and articulate your leadership skills and attributes in a way that prepares you for successful job interviews

  • This activity counts towards your Hallam Award

 

WHO CAN APPLY?

Student leaders within the Students’ Union, please see below:

  • Student staff employed by the Students' Union

  • Society committee members

  • Volunteering Project Leaders

  • Sport club committee members

  • Departmental Reps

  • Students’ Union Part-time Reps

  • Student Working Committees i.e. Volunteering, Societies, Events

 

WHAT ARE THE SESSIONS?

  • Please find the sessions here

 

WHEN DOES THE PROGRAMME START?

  • Once you have been selected to be part of the programme you will get a confirmation of when your first session will be.

  • The programme will start in October 2018 and finish in April 2019

 

WHEN CAN I APPLY?

  • Anyone who is a student leader within the Students' Union can apply to be on the Students’ Union Leadership Programme.

  • Applications for the Students’ Union Leadership Programme open on 1st September 2018
